Waterless Lithography Course by Inga Torfadottir
Inga will be teaching a course on Waterless Lithography at the Manitoba Printmaker's Studio at 11 Martha st. Wpg. This relatively new Lithography technique uses a non traditional printing plate to produce more immediate results. The course starts on Wednesday Sept. 20th. Time: 7-10 pm. Cost : $120 All material is included. The course runs for 4 weeks.
Martha st. Studio also offers various other courses on printmaking such as: Intro to Screenprinting, Advanced Screenprinting, Stone Lithography, Intro to Intaglio [Etching], Relieve Printmaking and Monoprinting. Those interested can contact MPA at # 779 6253.

Free Basswood - Anyone interested?
a beautiful hundred year-old basswood tree in my backyard has had to come down today. It was damaged by the high winds this afternoon. I hate to see all that wonderful, carvable wood go to the dump. Are there any woodcarvers out there who would like to come and pick up some? It has to be done asap, because the tree cutters will be cleaning up tomorrow. My address is 1106 Wolseley, at the foot of Greenwood St. though most of the wood is in my neighbour's yard. Call me immediately at 772-4851 if you're interested.
