The Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library
is holding our annual Dessert Party. Friday, September 29th, 7pm-9pm, hosted at the Living Prairie Museum, 2795 Ness Avenue. Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased in advance by calling 487-6117, or at the door. The event will feature a buffet of homemade desserts, with coffee, tea and juice. A silent auction of wonderful items will also be featured. It’s also a great evening to visit with other craftspeople in fun and relaxed setting. Hope to see you there.

Andrea at the Manitoba Crafts Museum reports that David Favor, is winding up the part of his business that used industrial quality sewing machines and he would like to sell them. Following is the list. The phone number to call if interested is at the top.

Bev Morton at the Wayne Arthur Gallery is setting up a series of get-togethers she calls Creative Coffee breaks. The next Creative Coffeebreak will be Wednesday, September 20, starting at 7 PM at Wayne Arthur Gallery. The gallery will supply coffee, tea, banana loaf and chairs. If anyone else wants to bring something, please do and let Bev know. Please let her know if you plan to come although you will be forgiven if you can't make it. Subsequently, Creative Coffeebreaks will be held the second Friday morning of the month at 10 AM and the third Wednesday evening of the month.

The interim board has been working hard to provide some financial clarity for MCC. We are at the point where we can make some first steps toward rebuilding the organization. In order for MCC to redevelop into an organization , we are going to need ideas and help from you. Please come to the meeting on Sunday and bring your friends and fellow artists.
