Gary Styrchak and Art Walter will give a presentation around 7:30 PM on:
Oil, alkyd and heat-set synthetics will be covered, with Art Walter doing the heat-set (Genesis oils) part of the presentation. Both Gary and Art, now semi-retired, have been exhibits designers for museums all of their careers, each of them ending their careers after long years with Parks Canada. They have commissioned works from many local artists and craftsmen, - Wayne Arthur for sculpture, Luther Pokrant and Larry Jamieson for historical illustrations at the Forks National Historic Park and others for sites across the country. Gary and Art are familiar with many techniques related to the visual arts and have themselves done many paintings, drawings and illustrations for the projects they worked on. They have 'done art' all of their lives and look forward to passing on some of the things they have learned at Creative Coffeebreak. Subsequently, Creative Coffeebreaks will be held the third Wednesday evening of the month and the second Friday morning of the month at 10 AM -
